Where It Began

Rooted in London.

Before VETANA, there were two separate workshops in London — two carpenters, each building their own reputation for quiet, considered craftsmanship. A husband. A brother. Years of learning their trade, perfecting their technique, and building things that were meant to last.

Then came Mallorca. What started as a feeling — the light, the stone walls, the ancient landscape — became a decision. We sold our workshops, packed our tools, and followed something that couldn't quite be put into words. A sense that this was where the next chapter was meant to be written.

Merging two businesses wasn't just a practical decision — it was a philosophical one. For the first time, we could combine what each of us does best. One with an eye for structure and engineering; one with an instinct for beauty and proportion. Together, we create something neither of us could make alone.

What Drives Us

We don't make furniture.
We make heirlooms.

VETANA is Spanish — a word that whispers of grain, of texture, of something raw and beautiful that lives inside the wood before it even becomes a table or a door or a shelf. Every piece of timber has a story. Our job is to listen to it, and then find the object it was always meant to become.

Every commission begins with a conversation. Not a quote. Not a catalogue. A real conversation, about your home, your life, the light in the room at four o'clock in the afternoon. Because the things that truly belong in a space can't come from a showroom.

We work primarily in natural hardwoods sourced from responsible suppliers — oak, walnut, olive, cedar, chestnut. Wherever possible, we use locally sourced Mallorcan timber. We believe in the beauty of imperfection: the knot, the grain variation, the tool mark that tells you a human being made this.

VETANA is not a company with employees. It is a collective — a family unit where every piece of work carries the DNA of everything we have learned and everything we believe in.

We are carpenters, yes — but we think of ourselves as problem solvers, listeners, and storytellers. The best result is always the one that surprises even us, the one where the wood and the brief meet somewhere unexpected and something remarkable happens.
